Inspired by the rugged spirit of outdoor literature, A Season Afield harkens back to days gone by while documenting the closing chapter of a lifetime spent living one season at a time. Follow Hank and his hunter through a true life adventure as they traverse the wide and the wild, discovering that some journeys are endless, and some bonds timeless.

Told mainly from Hank’s perspective, this film is the study of the unhurried rhythm between a man and a junkyard dog who together answered the same call of the land. It is a tribute to the challenges that define us, the seasons that shape us, and the dogs that never leave us—even after the sun goes down.
